Originally from Jacksonville, FL., Shawn Lamar had a passion for creativity at an early age and began doing hair over 20 years ago. Shawn started his career in the corporate world and realized he wanted to apply his business skills to the beauty industry.

Shawn has a passion for working with hair replacement. He has worked in many salons over the span of his career, before founding his own salon. During that time he was educated in many techniques, ranging from hair extensions, hair-coloring, and natural hair care. Utilizing what he learned, he created his own approach to these techniques, and began to participate in local hair competitions.

Shortly after, he moved from FL to GA, after being hired as an editorial hairstylist and educator, for a well-known product brand. He went on to  teach techniques for several companies, as well as upcoming beauty professionals--notably, the World Natural Hair Show, Bronner Brothers, and has been published in several beauty publications, including Black Hair Sophisticates, Hotlanta Hair Magazine, among others.

Shawn wanted to find a way to merge the corporate world with the beauty world--because the salon is not only about external change, but also about social and economic impact. He continues to consult and mentor other professionals to forge their own path through entrepreneurship. As an advocate for all forms of beauty, he partners with other educators and medical staff to help clients with hair loss, skin disorders and overall wellness.

Shawn's goal is to educate entrepreneurs on how to make money, expand their business, and create a legacy of their own.
